MICHAEL ROBERTSON: GENERAL MANAGER
Michael has + 20 years’ experience in the construction and infrastructure, most of which was spent with AJ Lucas Group a major player in drilling and pipeline projects throughout Australasia. He has general business management experience in all functions of a tier two contracting and services company.
During his career development with AJ Lucas Michael held various roles such as Project Manager and Operations Manager on drilling related projects up to $25 Million for major international companies such as BHP Billiton, Xstrata, Chevron, Leighton HK and Dragages HK (Bouygues Construction).
Having gained experience working on projects, Michael was then introduced to the AJ Lucas senior management team undertaking various roles, such as Plant Manager; where Michael was responsible for the $120 Million fleet of drilling and pipeline equipment and Manager - Technical Services; where Michael was responsible for the management of the Technical Services (HSE, Human Resources, Quality, Plant & Equipment, and Procurement) Business Unit for the Engineering & Construction Division which had an annual turnover of $150 Million and + 200 employees / contractors.
After spending 15 years working with AJ Lucas, Michael was engaged by Red Eye Constructions following a period of growth, to undertake a strategic review of the company structure and business practices.
In 2014 Michael was appointed to lead the transformation and re-shaping of the business to ensure a sustainable business into the future, and one which will enable the company vision to succeed.
As General Manager for Red Eye Constructions, Michael is responsible for overall business Leadership, Management and continual development of the business. His leadership and level of professionalism in the project delivery systems have ensured the successful rollout and implementation of key strategic initiatives. These initiatives have aided to support the project teams which shall ensure Red Eye Constructions ongoing success.
